Another personal Dubai favorite of mine, a magical resort where we (me, my husband & 2 daughters) stayed last February 2014. We stayed in the Dar Al Masyaf summer houses with a personal butler.
It’s a truly romantic destination. Our highlights are the rides in the abras (boats), especially after sun set when the resort lights up with magical lights everywhere. The beautiful white beach, the vibrant Souk which is the heart of the resort, the impeccable service of their staff, both indoor and outdoor swimming pools and the list can go on. There’s nothing not to love……..
ABOUT MADINAT JUMEIRAH
Madinat Jumeirah, The Arabian Resort, is located along two kilometre of private beachfront adjacent to Jumeirah Beach Hotel, Burj Al Arab and Wild Wadi Water Park, and is a leisurely half hour drive from Dubai International Airport.
The resort is authentically Arabian-styled featuring unique UAE architecture and design that encompasses three core components; two grand boutique hotels and clusters of 29 traditional Arabic summer houses among the gardens and waterways, all built around the souk, the traditional centre of Arabic life at the heart of the resort.
Mina A’ Salam or ‘The Harbour of Peace’ can be identified by its sand coloured wind towers and unique shape whilst Al Qasr, which literally translates to ‘the Palace’, was designed to reflect a Sheikh’s summer residence and is therefore lighter in colour and elevated to emphasise its splendour.
Inspired by the traditional Arabian courtyard summer houses, the stand-alone, two-storey residential retreats of Dar Al Masyaf, which represent the premium accommodation within the resort, suit guests seeking a more intimate hideaway.
Created for ultimate luxury and exclusivity, the seven Malakiya Villas are resort’s hidden gems.
An intricate waterway system links all areas of the resort and are serviced by abras (water taxi’s) offering guests alternative transportation and a great way to view the resort.
With over 40 world-class restaurants, bars and lounges to choose from, you’ll enjoy a dizzying choice of dining options – each with a distinct theme, location and style. Whether you feel like an evening of terrific Thai or a night on the tiles with the finest cocktails & mocktails, you’ll find your tastes fully satisfied at Madinat Jumeirah.
